Val Roach at Osborne Dental Office

My artistic journey began as a way to teach my children the value of creative expression while they were still young.

What started as a personal effort to inspire them soon evolved into a deep and lasting passion. I now work primarily

with acrylics, exploring a variety of themes, with each piece capturing the essence of everyday life as I see it.

My hope is to invite people of all ages to see the world through a new perspective and to spark their own creative exploration.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to paint and treasure these moments, but I’m also aware that not everyone has

this same privilege—especially the families at The Hospital for Sick Children. After spending time at the hospital and

witnessing families like mine facing unimaginable challenges, I was inspired to make sure my art reflects hope, kindness,

and the resilience of the human spirit.

There are struggles that art alone cannot solve, which is why I offer my paintings in exchange for donations.

Together, through these contributions, we can bring a little more light into the lives of these families, one brushstroke at a time.

All proceeds from my art are donated to The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation. Some of Val's Work can be seen at the

Osborne Dental Office during the month of October - November 2024. For further enquires contact Val Roach at 905-955-9024.

Dianne Lindstrom at the Underground Bake Shop

During the COVID-19 months, Diane Lindstrom discovered her love for the "line and wash" style
of drawing and painting, especially with crooked houses and barns. For the first time in her life,
she picked up a paintbrush and began creating. It wasn’t until her husband pointed out that her
houses were crooked that she realized she tilts her head to one side while she paints!

Diane is a devoted follower of Christ, a mother of three adult children, and a proud Nana to
six beautiful grandchildren. She cherishes laughter, homemade chai lattes, line and wash paintings,
long-distance cycling, chocolate-covered ju-jubes, early morning contemplative hours, newborn toes,
jumping waves, popping bubble wrap, and embarking on adventures.

Diane’s cards are available for purchase at Shirley’s Country Clutter, 330 Simcoe St, Beaverton, ON., L0K 1A0

EDITH WISE 1922-2024

Edith Wise, a talented watercolor artist, began her painting
journey in her 50s. She primarily painted flowers, many of
which were inspired by bouquets from her property in Beaverton,
which she owned for over 60 years. Although mostly self-taught,
Edith did take some courses throughout the years. She had a keen
interest in Japanese brush painting and often depicted local
scenes from the countryside near her home. Edith loved sharing
her artwork with friends and family and participated
in numerous art shows over the years. Some of Edith work can
be seen at Optometrist Dr. Jon Barnes office in Beaverton.
