Penny Clayton Penny's Pots - About 12 years ago I decided to take a beginner's wheel class and got hooked. I am lucky enough to be able to do most of my work in my home studio but I do belong to a guild where I continue to take classes and learn new techniques. I often create my pieces at home and glaze and fire them at the guild to take advantage of the larger equipment and creative community.I have found that creating something useful and attractive from a clump of raw clay is very satisfying. Most of my work is for functional items like mugs, plates and bowls, but sometimes I will create something whimsical like garden gnomes. I enjoy the challenge of doing commissioned pieces that are custom made to specifications for something the client hasn't been able to find or as a personalized and thoughtful gift.My hope is that when someone purchases my work they will smile and enjoy it for years to come.

Justine Keith Sampson
Resident of Beaverton in Brock, I grew up in Pefferlaw Ontario. I’ve always used drawing, painting, sculpting, music and digital animation as a form of self expression, but it was not until I was in college for law & administration that I realized how important the arts were to me. After I graduated, I attended one year for animation at Durham college, and further realized my desire to operate completely free from any established discipline or a traditional school setting, and instead continue in the autodidactic approach to artistic expression, self discovery & spirituality.
